Murrumbidgee Aged Care Network Co-operative

Comprehensive senior care services

Our vision

A thriving network of independent, community-owned aged care providers; delivering quality, person-centred care across regional Australia.

Our mission

To strengthen the sustainability of independent aged care providers by:

  • delivering shared services,
  • building collective capacity, and
  • advocating for the future of local,
    community-based care.

About MACN Co-op

The Murrumbidgee Aged Care Network Co-operative Ltd (MACN Co-op) exists to support aged care providers,  including residential, in-home or flexible short-term/respite services, to continue growing and improving the person-centred care in the communities they serve, now and into the future.

Supporting local aged care providers

Across the Murrumbidgee region, small and independent aged care providers are under pressure. New reforms, rising administrative costs, and ongoing workforce shortages are threatening the sustainability of community-based services upon which older people and their families rely.

The MACN Co-op is tackling these challenges head-on, using an Australian-first approach!

Not-for-profit aged care organisations

Place-based aged care organisations

Our members value community, culture and connection.

The MACN Co-op is not a service provider – it is a shared services organisation that exists to back its members through collective action, shared resources, and a values-driven model of support.

“Older Australians aging in small regional communities deserve the same high standards of care as those in larger urban communities, so it is vital we find ways to ensure the sustainability of services like ours.”

Karen Hodgson, Chair

“By working together, we have the opportunity to address common administrative challenges that have the potential to detract from our ability to provide our residents with the highest quality care.”

Karen Hodgson, Chair

“The co-operative model offers us the potential to share back office services, while retaining our independence, and to explore some innovative approaches to attracting and retaining key staff.”
